[WORK IN PROGRESS]
In the fall of 2019 I took an exploratory class on Virtual Reality led by professor Ali Momeni. Together with a team of two computer science majors from Brown University, 1 sculpture major and 1 industrial designer from the Rhode Island School of Design, our task was to build a virtual reality immersive experience. We had to come up with every aspect of the experience: brainstorming ideas, creating a storyline, finding and building 3D assets, the environment, lighting, and writing code for the VR interaction logic.
In our VR experience, the user puts on a headset and is transported to a locked bedroom in the Titanic with the final objective being to escape the ship before it sinks. We built this project to explore the boundaries of VR, investigating mechanisms like scale, gravity, and puzzles.
